Brian R. Smith
Brian is a managing principal consultant who carries out and oversees the various services provided by Acoustical Engineering Consultants (AEC). He understands his clients’ needs and provides high quality engineering services in the fields of acoustics, noise and vibration control, and audiovisual system design. Brian is adept at setting realistic goals, responding quickly to client requests, and providing services in an organized and timely manner. His areas of expertise include environmental impact studies, noise and vibration control of buildings, room acoustics, industrial noise control, field sound measurements and analysis, and audiovisual system design. He has managed and provided engineering services for a variety of projects including performing arts centers, houses of worship, schools, courthouses, office buildings, single and multi-family residential, hotels, mixed-use buildings, restaurants, hospitals, and power generation plants.

Keenan is a consultant with a life long passion for high-quality aural environments who provides acoustical, noise, and vibration engineering services for AEC. He has a strong attention to detail and provides organized, prompt, and thorough recommendations to improve acoustical conditions on all project types, with a focus on providing both budget-friendly and acoustically ideal solutions. Keenan’s background as a musician and passion for physics and engineering give him an unique and comprehensive understanding of acoustical environments and their human impacts. He has provided engineering services for a variety of projects including schools, auditoria, radio stations, houses of worship, courthouses, office buildings, multi-family residential, hotels, hospitals, and utility plants.
