Acoustical conditions within a factory are often very poor.  Workers in a reverberant room are in close proximity to noisy machinery, a combination that can result in required hearing protection and mandatory participation in hearing conservation programs.  Industrial acoustics can also transition into environmental acoustics, where industrial or construction sources potentially impact surrounding noise sensitive areas.  A comprehensive analysis and noise control program will be applied by AEC to reduce machinery noise levels, provide attenuation in the path between the noise source and receiver, and provide hearing conservation and/or noise control measures at impacted receivers.

Industrial/Construction Applications

Industrial and construction equipment is almost always noisy. Stamping, hammering, welding, cutting, pressing, and moving materials are just a few of the activities that generate high sound levels. Read More >>

Corporate/Commercial Applications

Corporate and commercial facilities require special attention because if noise and vibration levels are uncontrolled then worker productivity can decline significantly; simultaneously, certain areas must remain isolated to provide an area for private conversations. Read More >>

Government and Civic Applications

Like many other areas, noise control must be precisely tailored to fit the space. For example, a courtroom requires significant noise isolation whereas a civic center may require less. Read More >>
